Zombie Walk!

So for the past couple of weeks we’ve been planning on going down to Beale Street June 24th. Chase needed to get some footage for the movie he is working on, and it was Kevin’s birthday so we thought we’d all go and eat at Dyer’s that night. Friday while I was home for lunch, I discovered on twitter that that night happened to be the Zombie Walk on Beale!

I was super excited because I’ve missed every single year and always wanted to go. Chase wasn’t too thrilled at first because he didn’t really want zombies walking through his footage LOL But I told Kevin about and asked if he wanted to be a zombie that night. He thought that sounded cool. So when I got home from work, we did a quick makeup job on him. Thankfully I still had all my Edith makeup stuff out from the night before!

Chase gave me an old shirt he didn’t need anymore so we bloodied that up, too. I didn’t have time to put anything together for myself, so I just played photographer.

Lots of fun costumes…

Getting ready to walk…

Kevin really liked this Zombie Link:

Kevin among the horde:

Right before one of the volunteers came up and threw some extra juicy gore all over Kevin, it was hilarious… and he was under strict instructions to not touch me or get near me after that LMAO

Then we got Kevin cleaned up, ate at Dyer’s, and Chase got his filming done (mostly zombie-free by that point). I want to go again next year and this time come up with an outfit for myself.

Saturday I promised Kevin we’d go swim for his birthday, so we did. Chase was busy filming again.

After that I was exhausted and had a migraine coming on, so I spent the rest of the day laying down trying to get my medicine to kick in. Yuck. Between Sat and Sun I did manage to get my sewing room MOSTLY cleaned up, some light sewing work done (fixing pockets and tears in some of Chase’s fav shorts, fixing a button on my shorts, etc) and basic packing for our next trip. I got my Edith photos uploaded — and I was going to try to cram them into this post also, but I think I’ll do a second post instead. BRB.
